6 Best Free Ringtone Apps and Websites

Are you tired of constantly hearing the same monotonous Marimba ringtone whenever you receive a phone call? Luckily, there are numerous applications and websites available that offer a wide range of new ringtones for your iPhone, eliminating the need for any purchases.

1 Ringtones for iPhone: Music

The Ringtones for iPhone: Music app, created by Jerome Melis, is the perfect choice if you're seeking an app exclusively dedicated to free ringtones. Its remarkable feature lies in its complete free-of-charge accessibility, coupled with a vast collection of over eight hundred popular ringtones and an incredibly user-friendly interface.

Upon launching the app, you will be greeted with a selection of ringtones categorized as "Most Popular." Upon further exploration, you will discover an array of categories such as Funny Ringtones, Summer Selection, Christmas, Old phone ringtones, and many more. Regrettably, accessing these ringtones requires either watching an advertisement or rating the app on the App Store. Nevertheless, this is a far more favorable alternative than having to spend money!

Once you stumble upon a ringtone that catches your interest, the app provides the option to install it using either GarageBand or iTunes, both of which necessitate a computer. Additionally, if you come across a ringtone that you wish to save for future reference, simply tap the Heart icon adjacent to it to add it to your favorites.

2 Tuunes

The Tuunes app, developed by WhitePoint GmbH, offers a wide selection of over ten thousand licensed ringtones. These ringtones are categorized into different genres such as Latest Chart Remixes, Around The World, and TikTok Classics.

To further enhance your browsing experience, you can explore ringtones and alarms sorted by genres by simply tapping the Genre button located below the search bar. This allows you to easily find genres like Alternative, Blues, Children's Music, Comedy, and more. Additionally, if you're interested in free ringtones, you can tap the Free button below the search bar.

One of the standout features of Tuunes is its ability to create ringtones directly on your iPhone, without the need for iTunes or a computer. Once you've downloaded a ringtone, you can easily follow the on-screen instructions to set it as your iPhone's ringtone using GarageBand. Furthermore, the app allows you to assign unique ringtones to each of your contacts, making it easier to identify who's calling.

While Tuunes offers a decent collection of free ringtones, some of the more popular ones require coins for purchase. Upon downloading the app, you'll be granted 75 coins as an initial bonus. You can also earn additional coins by watching ads or playing quizzes, with 15 coins available daily through ad viewing and 30 coins through quiz participation. If you desire more coins, there is an option to make a purchase.

3 Ringtones

While Tuunes boasts a user-friendly interface, it unfortunately offers a limited selection of free ringtones. However, if you're seeking a broader range of free ringtones, the Ringtones app serves as an excellent alternative. This app categorizes ringtones into various sections such as Christmas, ASMR, Alerts, Animals, Asian, and more.

Moreover, the Ringtones app features a dedicated section called Hottest Ringtones, where you can find the most popular ringtones. Additionally, it allows you to create and set custom ringtones on your iPhone without any cost. Simply tap the Editor tab located at the bottom of the screen to do so.

If you wish to use an audio recording as your ringtone, you can easily accomplish this by tapping on Recorder. Alternatively, you can utilize the Ringtone Maker to import an audio file from iCloud, your device's gallery, or the app's list of ringtones. Once imported, you have the ability to adjust the pitch and tempo of the audio, utilize the app's built-in equalizer for audio editing, trim the audio, and more.

Once you are content with your customized ringtone, you can effortlessly export it to GarageBand and set it as your ringtone. Similar to the Ringtone Maker, you can also assign separate ringtones to individual contacts within the app.

4 Zedge.net

If you've ever searched for good ringtones on the web, chances are you've come across Zedge. Whether you're into Bollywood or Hip-Hop, finding a ringtone that suits your taste is a breeze with the Zedge app.

Although the app offers a wide range of free ringtones for download, some may require you to watch an ad in order to unlock them. Additionally, exclusive ringtones may be available for download through Zedge Credits, which can be purchased.

With the app, you have the freedom to set any sound as your notification tone or ringtone. Once you've found a tone you like, simply tap the Download icon and select "Set on Device." If you prefer, you can use GarageBand to set the tone as your ringtone.

If you prefer not to use the app, you can still access Zedge's web app through any browser. Similar to the app, you can download any tone you desire by clicking the Download button. However, if you're accessing the site on a computer, you'll need to transfer the ringtone to your iPhone.

5 Melofania.club

MeloFania stands out among other websites due to its wide range of trending songs that can be used as ringtones for your iPhone. In addition to this, the website offers the unique feature of extracting audio from YouTube videos, apart from allowing users to upload their own songs.

Unlike other platforms mentioned earlier, MeloFania does not categorize its ringtones. Therefore, users will have to rely on the search bar and explore to find a ringtone of their liking. Moreover, if you wish to download a ringtone from a specific artist, there is an option to browse artists alphabetically.

If you prefer to create your own ringtone, MeloFania provides the option to upload a tune or extract audio from a YouTube video. The platform allows you to clip the desired part, adjust the volume, and even add fade-in or fade-out effects. Once you are satisfied with your creation, you can download the ringtone as an M4R file.

6 Audiko.com

Zedge and Melofania both offer a wide range of ringtones, but I have noticed that they are not updated frequently enough for my liking. Consequently, I struggled to find popular songs to use as my ringtone. However, if you are someone who enjoys having viral songs as your ringtone, Audiko is undoubtedly the perfect solution. Similar to other platforms, Audiko organizes its tunes into categories such as Country, Pop, K Pop, Jazz, and more.

If you are searching for a song by a specific artist, simply type their name in the search bar. To discover trending songs, click on the three horizontal lines and select Collections from the dropdown menu. Here, you will not only find popular songs but also various versions of them that can be used as your ringtone. For example, you may come across the TikTok version of the original song or a sped-up rendition.

While Audiko has an app available on the Google Play Store, iPhone users will need to rely on the website through Safari or any other preferred iOS browser. Once you have found your desired ringtone, you can download it as an M4R file to your computer and then transfer it to your iPhone.

Whether you are seeking a catchy tune to ensure you never miss a call or prefer more subtle ringtone options beyond what Apple provides, I am confident that you will easily find your next ringtone using the aforementioned apps and websites!
